1.What is Chasing Elon?
Chasing Elon is an interactive, real-time web experiment comparing Elon Musk's staggering personal wealth against cumulative community fuel and contributions. It visualizes the sheer scale of modern wealth disparity and explores whether the pooled energy and collective power of everyday individuals can catch up to the world's richest person.
2.How is Elon Musk's net worth calculated?
Elon's net worth is synchronized with public financial feeds (including Forbes Real-Time Billionaires). Values fluctuate dynamically based on the market valuations of Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, and other public holdings.
3.What is the Free Fuel / Time Reactor?
You do not need to spend money to participate! As long as you keep this browser tab open and active, our Time Reactor converts your dwell time into community fuel at a rate of $1 per 60 seconds (up to 10 minutes or $10 daily per contributor). Please note that accumulated fuel is only injected into the community total after you manually donate it. Any unused fuel accumulated during the day will reset to 0 at 00:00 UTC if not donated.
4.How do cash contributions work?
Supporters who wish to accelerate the chase can back the project via Dodo Payments using major credit/debit cards or supported digital payment methods. Every dollar contributed moves the curve upward, and secures your rank on the Hall of Fame Leaderboard.
5.Can I promote my social profile or website on the Leaderboard?
Yes! When making a contribution (whether via Free Fuel or cash), you can provide your social media handle (X / Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) or website URL. Your avatar, name, cheer message, and verified outbound link will be displayed on the Hall of Fame and the interactive live supporter bubbles with real-time click tracking.
6.Is my rank or position on the Leaderboard permanent?
No. The Hall of Fame Leaderboard is real-time, competitive, and dynamic. Rankings are calculated based on cumulative total contributions (from both Time Fuel and cash). As new supporters participate and existing contributors add further fuel, positions will naturally fluctuate. Your sponsorship secures immediate promotional visibility and rank according to your current contribution, but does not guarantee a permanent, fixed, or unmovable placement.
7.Can I get a refund for my sponsorship?
No. All sponsorships and contributions are voluntary and strictly non-refundable. Your contribution immediately grants instant digital exposure on our Hall of Fame Leaderboard, live supporter bubbles, and simulation curve. Because these perks and public visibility are fulfilled instantaneously upon transaction completion, all sponsorships are final. If you experience an unintended duplicate transaction or technical error, please reach out to support@chasingelon.com.
8.Are contributions investments, securities, or tax-deductible?
No. Contributions are voluntary gifts to support a creative web simulation and social experiment. They do not represent equity, financial investments, debt instruments, tokens, or charity donations, and are not tax-deductible.

No. Chasing Elon is an entirely independent, fan-created parody and cultural commentary project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Elon Musk, Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, X Corp, or any of their affiliates.
